Isagenix Cleanse Support Program
The Isagenix Race to Maintenance programme was created years ago to address the needs of those with more than 20 kilos to lose and others who looking to gain maximum benefits from the cleansing experience.
According to studies, changing a habit takes several days, and it takes an additional month for the change to take root. Taking this into account, the Race to Maintenance is designed to ease the body into not only new habits but a healthy lifestyle change.
With thousands of participants over the years, the Race to Maintenance has proven to be the most effective way to reach your weight loss, performance, and healthy living goals.
People who successfully complete the Race to Maintenance give themselves a much better opportunity to embrace the Isagenix lifestyle and experience healthy, long-lasting results.
Race to Maintenance – How It All Started
The Race to Maintenance was developed by Dr. Dennis Harper of Isagenix’s Scientific Advisory Board as a programme to help people lose additional weight and experience added benefits beyond the 9-Day Cleanse. The average weight loss experienced during the 9-Day System is eight pounds, and many people want to achieve greater weight loss results.
This fat-burning, deep cleansing programme provides people with 28 additional days of nutritional cleansing, providing them with the extra boost they need to live the nutritional cleansing lifestyle and experience its bevy of benefits. As such, the Race to Maintenance is essentially a modified 30-Day System that includes the 9-Day Cleanse for maximum cleansing power.
Due to the caloric restrictions of the 9-Day Cleanse, Isagenix recommends doing no more than two 9-Day Cleanses in a row. Rather than doing back-to-back cleanses and jeopardizing your health, the Race to Maintenance protocol allows you to continue cleansing as long as you want.
In fact, this is how the Race to Maintenance received its name. Its goal is to allow you to reach your desired weight within a month and to continue using Isagenix products to maintain your health for the rest of your life.
It’s a Marathon, Not a Sprint
The Race to Maintenance is all about receiving the right nutrition to increase your metabolic rate and inspire lifelong results. Rather than putting your body into starvation mode and resetting your basal metabolic rate, it actually ups your nutrition with an extra meal and bumps up your daily caloric intake on shake days to 1,800 calories.

Race to Maintenance Tips for Success
Tip #1 – Drink Plenty of Water
Hydration is crucial for cleansing and your overall health. When following the Race to Maintenance or any other Isagenix programme, you should drink three to five liters of water each day. If you begin getting a headache on a cleanse day, dehydration may be to blame and you should drink a glass of water right away.
Tip #2 – Stay Active
In addition to helping you burn fat, exercise also helps stimulate the lymphatic system. For maximum benefits, light exercise like walking and yoga is recommended on shake days.
Tip #3 – Avoid Solid Foods on Cleanse Days
Having an IsaDelight, Isagenix Snacks, healthy nuts, or low-glycemic veggies is fine, especially if you feel you’re at your breaking point. However, abstaining from solid foods and flushing out toxins is what cleanse days are all about.
Tip #4 – Don’t Forget to Snack
While you should avoid food on cleanse days, on shake days it’s important to eat a snack at least every two hours. Snacking will keep your blood sugar levels stabilized and help support a healthy metabolism.
Tip #5 – Eat Healthy
Low-calorie and healthy don’t necessarily go hand-in-hand. For optimum health and results, your 400-600 calorie shake day meals should consist of four to six ounces of lean protein and three to four cups of steamed or raw vegetables.
Tip #6 – Rest Up
Getting plenty of rest is also important to the Race to Maintenance. With a lower calorie intake than your body is likely used to, you should avoid overexerting yourself, especially on cleanse days.
Tip #7 – Use Your Support System
